Christmas Blues!!!

Why am I missing Bill more this year then I have in the past? It seems everyday it gets harder.. Maybe because its been 8 years ... maybe its because I am still alone.. maybe its because this year I don't get my time off after Christmas.. maybe its because I need a change of scenery in my life..

My goals for next year.. drop 40 pounds.. keep my vacation so I can use it for time off instead of sick.. Go somewhere I have never been.. Move to a new place.. To spend more quality time with my boys.. help them get along better.. And for the last one.. Hopefully not be alone next year at this time!!!

So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.. I am wishing on my Christmas Star!!!

Wow can you believe that Christmas is next week!!! AHHH... Dont know if I am ready.. I guess I have to be ready!!

As you all know McKinley broke his arm over Thanksgiving. He is on the mend. We have another xray on Friday to make sure it is healing right. If all is well he gets his cast off in January.

Not much else going on..

Looking forward to seeing all the Family at Christmas!!

HO HUMMMM is how I feel lately nothing good is happening but then nothing bad is happening..


Wish there was a time machine that I could use to see what will happen in the future.. will I be alone the rest of my life? Will my boys graduate? Will they have families? Then again would like one that would take us back a few years.. and the what ifs .... what if Bill hadnt gotten sick or what if the treatment would of worked. Some days these questions drive me nuts!!!

Then again I have the love hate in my life..

Love the location of where we live but hate the house
Love my boys but hate that they dont listen to me
Love my boys but hate that they are hurting themselves in school
Love my mom hate that she has Alzheimer's
Love food hate that it goes right to my middle.. Why do I have to be on a diet the rest of my life???

BLOG MUCH???

Nope not really!!! I guess it is the season of the facebook.. wonder what next years hot thing will be? We need to think of it now so we can all be rich!!! hehe

Not alot going on. the boys seem to be doing better in school this year. But then again it is only 1 month into the school year. I am hoping it is a smother ride this year!! Quentin has decided to run for class president.. I hope he does well but as we all know it is a popularity contest. We will know in 2 weeks if he has what they are looking for. Would be cool for him and probably what he needs.

Work is going well the new parking is still having issues.. we are hoping they have worked out the bugs. Yesterday was a good day for it.

Cant believe that we are on the down hill part of this year. we will blink and it will be Thanksgiving & Christmas. It will be different this year since mom probably wont be able to stay with me because of my stairs. Will have to figure out how we will handle it when it gets closer.

I am off today and just puttering around the house to get it cleaned up for next weekend!! Mitzi is coming in and we are going to see Momma Mia at Starlight. Cant wait. Jen is going with us also and a another friend.

Parking nightmare

Ok so i did my 93 hours of entering in crap over the last 2 weeks. Then last Friday the computer crashed!!! I was so upset they didn't know if they could retrieve anything.. well the hard drive was toast and they could not get anything off of it.. but our parking guy did.. he had put it on a flash drive on that Thursday so YEA didn't have to re input everything...

On the other hand I have been alone this week.. feels strange but nice.

Parking Hell & weekend fun

So at work they decided last year to put in a new parking system.. wasn't thought out very well.. we got the new cards.. sat in our closet for months.. no training on how to put in the information.. the 2nd week in April they decided to put out new forms to get the information on ALL the employees in our 3 buildings.. ok we are talking at least 1000 or more!!!! I had to fill out these forms with all their names.. then took all the form around to the supervisors of all the suites.. some come back I issue their cards.. then I decided to take the hospital vacation.. nothing was done while i was gone all was on my desk waiting for me!!! ok now we have to get all the information entered into the computer only we don't know how yet.. last Tuesday they train me on the input of the information!! We have decided to install the new readers this week.. so it was a whirl wind of overtime putting in all the info in the computer!!! So now 17 hours of overtime later the card readers are up and we have a handful of procrastinators we are up and running.. I am sure Monday will be fun.. WHY WONT MY CARD WORK??? well lets see you had warnings.. Just hope all the doctors got their cards... ahhh that will be a whole other headache!!

on other fun.. this weekend i am playing Bunko and Jen is joining me.. cant wait!! then next weekend Mitzi is coming in and we are going to see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers!!! I am way to excited about that!! Anyone want to join us??? It is at Theater in the Park.. we are taking in our picnic dinner and it will be so much fun!!! Oh and Saturday morning we are going to the farmer market Mitzi has never been.. I am sure there will be some movies in there as well. Want to see the Proposal & Up.. Friday night we are going to go eat at the California Pizza Kitchen.. anyone want to join us there as well??

HOSPITAL HELL

Ok so what as going to be a normal test for a colonoscopy turned in to my nightmare!!!

Thursday night I take my poop pills and low and behold they start to work!! I am in the bathroom almost all night. I get all cleaned out and go for my test on Friday

Friday morning we get up take more pills (because yea i haven't poopend enough yet!!) take my shower between sitting on the pot. We get into to the hospital they have told us the wrong place to go so we take the shuttle to Tower 2. get all checked in They give Kathleen a beeper (like at a restaurant how about some tacos with a side of butt scope) We leave there around 1 and go get some food. I eat 2 or 3 bites and take the rest home. I lay down and Kathleen takes the boys to the school carnival. My tummy starts to hurt but i don't think to much about it.. and I put a heating pad on it. Around 8 it is hard to ignore this pain anymore. So at 1030 I call the dr and ask if this is normal they said get to the ER. So in the ER they are thinking i have a perforated bowel is so will have to have an operation. After 2 test nope but my bowel is UGLY the ER Doc says. He is keeping me. They have given me morphine for the pain that is kind of cutting but not quite. So at 3:05 they call for the admitting so I can get a room. By 4:30 I get my room with Miss Poopie Pants. Yes I get in my room and she had pooed all over the toilet. Come to find out also on the floor. Our night assistant has to clean her up from head to toe and the smell..

Saturday I get settled in and get to sleep. I wake up at 630, watch some tv text and miss poopie pants is asleep and quite for now.. they come in to take our vitals and she moans out very loudly when they take her blood pressure. They take mine no big deal.. I get my morphine and antibiotics and I go into my lala land.. Wake up and the morphine is giving me a headache but hey it is killing the pain. I have some friends come for a visit. First my friend Jan Scott comes by and we chat for a while. Kathleen and the Boys came up to see me... More morphine and more sleep Jenny comes by and my boss Lu at the same time... More meds and Jan and her mom comes to see me.. more drugs and i wake up and there is Christy!! Could not stay awake for Christys visit. Saturday Miss Poopie pans does poo in the toilet and it is quite stinky.. in the middle of the night the headache from the morphine is to great and they give me tylonal..

Sunday they change out the pain meds to something else cant remember cause I am in a morphine stupor.. Sunday Jen Scott comes back to see me and Ken our engineer from work. The boys finally get there around 3 Ruth comes at 4. My neighbor decides to poo all over herself again!!! and more stink.. Her daughter comes in and tells her to buck up and get over it she was going to go home but she is not strong enough.. BLAST!!! one more night of poo.. on the bright side she is kind of quite when she isn't complaining or moaning in pain or pooping all over..

Monday comes and I am trying to sleep a bit Ruth comes to see me and Miss Poopie pants strikes again. Ruth runs away here comes miss poopie pants family daughter granddaughter & great grand son.. LOUD cant sleep .. Of forgot to say I have not eaten this whole time.. i am on liquids Chicken broth is not my favorite and forget ever eating jello again!!! Ruth comes back and we chat for a while she leaves to get Mac they are transferring miss pants to a rehab (she had something done with her liver and rubber bands no clue) She leaves.. Oh an joy of joys I get to eat real food.. so my tray comes she is gone it is quite and i am happy as a lark!!! that was short lived!! they transfer a Asian lady into my room no speakadaenglish!!! Her husband comes in first and he works for Shawnee mission he is talking cant understand him but all i am thinking is FOOD!!! i was eating at the time.. yes real food..Ruth comes back with the boys and a pradade of her family comes in the boys and Ruth stay for a while.. its around 7 when i am by myself and all this noise I swear there were 20 or more jammed on her side each family borough in a sack with food in it.. they were eating and talking and loud.. My friend Jeanette comes to see me and we chat till about 10 she leaves and around 1030 her family starts to leave all but 2 Husband and creepy son. ( let me describe creepy son... unkept hair funky face hair weird glasses chester the molester jacket and flip flops oh an mustard colored pants and he stutters in what ever language he is speaking!!!) So at 11 I ask the nurse if she could run them out... she tries they leave by 11 but not for good!! I fall asleep and at 1230 here comes Husband MOMMA, MOMMA she wakes up and says what!! Are you ok .. mind you this is the only english that is spoken!!!!! then we go in to a long conversation and wet smacky kisses and he leaves.. 10 min and here comes creepy son.. talks to mom and drinks what ever she had on her tray.. he leaves and i cant sleep so I turn on the tv.. an hour or so later i turn off the tv and as soon as i hit the button her iv goes off she is sound asleep so I call and they come take care of .. well here comes husband and creepy son by this point I am crying I am tired I am upset that they are not letting me sleep.. her IV blew and they have to fix it.. I can understand being woke up by this but what started my non sleep has me VERY UPSET!! !

Tuesday I tell them that if they keep me 1 more night I have to be moved.. I cant take another night like that.. The nurse that knows Husband scolds him for being so rude to me and he tries to deny that he did any of this through the night. She told him it was noted in the overnight files and he is like OH!! and that is it!! The Dr comes in and says I can go home I am almost in tears I am so happy.. So about 1 I am sprung loose.. I get home and sleep Never want to go through that ever again!!!

Mexican Pork & poop pills!!!

So I haven't worked a full week in 2 months and it is getting old because I am using my vacation and wont have any for the summer!!! Bummer

Ok so I got a call Monday around 215 that McKinley has a 101 temp and he needs to go home.. mind you that school is out at 315 I called Paula since she is out at 230 but Sammy had a Dr. apt. so no dice!! Crap!!! I leave at 240 get there around 305 take him home (it is also cold and raining glad i got him no coat!!) With all the talk on TV about the Swine Flu McKinley asks me if he has the Swine flu I said no .. he said but I had pork at school today.. I said but don't think it was Mexican pork!!! ok he says and goes on.. He is better today.. guess the pig didn't die to feed the school..hehe

I have to have a colonoscopy on Friday.. YEA FUN.. I know you are all saying why cant that be me!!! Last time i had to drink this sweet nasty stuff and pooped my head off.. well now they do it as a pill prep.. YEA don't have to drinking nasty stuff.. then i filled the script!!! When he told me the cost WITH INSURANCE 55 dollars!!! i told him i don't need the pills i just crapped!!! OMG are they made of gold.. NOPE they are white!! no gold here!! so on Thursday while you are all eating a great meal and drinking good food I will be swallowing 30 pills made of gold!!! and spending a nice LONG time in the restroom bet the boys will be wishing we had 2 bathrooms or at least one with an exhaust!!! Thinking Thursday will be pretty shitty!! HAHAHA..

Life and all that kind of stuff

Not much really going on. Got mom moved in think she is happy I hope.

I am ready for summer so I don't have to fight to get the kids up every morning. That will be nice. Not sure if we have to go to summer school or not yet. Will email the councilor today.

work is still good..

As for me ready for the next chapter to start. Been stuck on boring for way to long..hehe

Stress much!!

So mostly family reads these blogs so they know whats been going on with mom. The stress that this past week has caused is something else. I am glad mom is doing better. For those of you who dont know Mom had a mini stroke last Saturday.

Work is work nothing new there.. Home is same also.. kids are still fighting and fussing but on good days they get along.

Well thats it my life is pretty boring. SO whats new in your life???

Summer Fun!!!

I am planning on going to see some plays this year.. the first one to come up is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.. LOVE that movie.. so I want to see the play will go either the 13th of June or the 20th.. any one want to join me? Then we have the Wedding Singer on either the 18th or 25th of July. August 1st is Chitty Chitty bang bang. but the big one is on September 12th I am planning on going to see Momma Mia!!! I cant wait!! who all wants to go with me? Tickets go on sale in May.. so lets get a tally of how many tickets we will need to get.. YEA!!! hehe I know i need a life!!! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang & Momma Mia we have to get tickets in advance the other 2 are at Theater in the Park and are a first come first serve basis.. Hope i get someone to go with me..

a quick trip

well we are going to make a quick trip to St. Louis.. going to take mom to say goodbye.. othere then that not much going on.. no more falls hehe..

opps i did it again!!!

I HATE SNOW!!!!

So I was out grocery shopping.. came home walked into the kitchen with my boots on.. and AHHHHHHHHHH next think i know i am going down on my right knee i see a pizza box coming at my face ... i slam my face on the box it flips out of the trash can and i am now being choked by the trash can its self.. i then fall backward on the floor.. I scream take off my boots!!! The boys are crying I am crying .. In the aftermath i have a cut down my face on the left side (so i now look even more freaky since the right side is still not completely back) the cut goes from the bridge of my nose to the bottom of my chin. the bruise on my the side of my knee is bright purple and the size of a soft ball. I don't have a bruise on my neck but it is hurting.. Oh and to put the icing on the cake my tooth in the back on the right is hurting so i will be going to the dentist tomorrow. my jaw and ear is aching BAD!!! I pretty much hurt from head to toe today!!!

Man Voice

Ok so I am sick and I sound like a man. I answer the phone at work and the person on the other end says yes sir.. ok so I start out saying Medical Plaza Building office this is Melodie how may I help you.. they hear man man man.. no name. hehe

I am going to the theater tomorrow night with Amanda .. SO looking forward to it.. This year at the Theater in the park they are having my most favorite show/play.. 7 Brides for 7 Brothers.. So yes I am going I think Mitzi is coming it to go with me also we will go either on June 13th or the 20th if anyone is interested in going with us let me know!!! http://www.theatreinthepark.org/index.cfm check it out.. there are a couple of other good shows i want to see also!!

Working for the weekend!!!

I am looking forward to this weekend. I am headed to Jefferson City. Going to go out on the town with Mitzi. Mom is going with me and going to spend time with Ruth. I think she is excited!! I am looking forward to seeing her new kitchen.

Lookin for the new life store

I am so sick of this weather!! I am so sick of being alone!! I am sick of the crap at work!! I am sick of being at a stand still on my weight loss!!! I am sick of the gas prices going up again!! I am sick that good people die at a young age!! I am sick that once again I am alone on Valentines day!!!

So if anyone knows where that darn new life store is located I am ready to go find something new fun and interesting to happen!!!

A tisket a tasket my baby made a basket!!!

On Saturday we went to McKinley's basketball game. These boys have yet to win a game so we are hoping with all our everything that today will be the day. Boy was it.. it was 20 to 8 I think and my baby made his first basket ever in the 3 years he has played!!! I was so proud of him!

On other notes.. My ankle is still hurting. Tonight I go to Westridge for McKinley going to jr high.. last week we went to West for Quentin going in to high school WHERE DOES TIME GO???

Sleepy but cant sleep and other stuff

What is going on. Here it is Saturday morning, I don't have to work but I am awake and it is 6:18..... GRRR

Not much going on my ankle is still hurting but is getting better. Took Q to the Dr. yesterday his neck has been hurting on and off. His lymph nodes are swollen in his neck. They took some blood and referred us to a ear nose & throat person. So Monday I will call and get an appointment. Dr. thought is tonsils are HUGE so he may be getting his out also.

Well that's whats going on in my life!!

My Left Foot!!

No not the movie but Mel the klutz.... I was going down the stairs and missed the last 2.. next thing I know I am on the floor both ankles are hurting my butt hurts and I am at the bottom of the stairs.. AHHHHHH So I crawled back up the stairs on my knees and had the boys get me some ice and I put it up. So here I lay in bed iced up and propped up and feeling like silly!!! I refuse to go to the emergency room it is 150 the dr is 20 I am tough I can make it!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Wow don't think I have ever been this busy on the weekends.

Last night I went to dinner with some of the people from work. We tried a new Mexican restaurant. It is called Cantina del Ray.. the salsa was strange and not real good. I had the chicken burrito and it was very good. The location and parking sucked also.. hehe

Today I am getting my hair cut and my bush ripped off my eyes.. then McKinley has a basketball game at 12:40. Hope they win they have lost every game but just by 1 point. Tonight I have Bunko.. cant wait.. Sunday we are going to see Paul Blart Mall Cop for Quentins birthday (I know it was last week but I was broke)

Next weekend it starts all over with the basketball game.. and I have to miss Decovins & Camdens birthday party. That night Sammy's birthday party.. the following weekend is Katrinas birthday.. Oh and in there somewhere I might me having a date.. hehe keep your fingers crossed that his guy isn't a muant..hehe
